With legendary ancestry it makes sense that the Subaru Impreza VA should be capable of great things. Unfortunately as with all things in life there are limitations and compromises to be made. In the case of the Impreza VA, Subaru's engineers have had to compromise on the size of the standard turbo bolted onto the new FA20F engine due to the somewhat limited space available.
The limited amount of space under the bonnet combined with the layout of the exhaust manifold, up/downpipe means the OEM snail isn't as big or as powerful as it could be. Enter the Japspeed Twisted Turbo Manifold Up/Downpipe Kit.
The Japspeed Twisted Turbo Manifold Up/Downpipe Kit has been engineered as a simple, bolt-on modification which; once fitted adjusts the orientation of the turbo approx 45°. This minor adjustment allows significantly more space for a larger turbocharger which as we all know = more power!
Manufactured from highest quality T304 the Japspeed Twisted Turbo Manifold Up/Downpipe Kit utilises state of the art manufacturing techniques and precision engineering to provide strength and durability throughout the years to come. Designed with high performance in mind the Japspeed Twisted Turbo Manifold Up/Downpipe Kit features a slip-jointed external wastegate pipe to overcome issues normally associated with expansion of the exhaust due to high termperatures. A combination of V-band and cnc-machined gaskets elsewhere ensure the Japspeed Twisted Turbo Manifold Up/Downpipe Kit can take the stresses and strains of fast road and track-day uses.
